On This Day: “Why there are so many cemeteries along St. Charles Rock Road”

On June 20th, 2016, St. Louis Public Radio published an article written by Rachel Lippmann exploring the question: “why are there so many cemeteries along St. Charles Rock Road?” When Lippmann received this question from local resident Betty Zweifel Eberley, she turned to former executive director Andrew Weil for details on the curious phenomenon. As it turns out, Weil was the perfect person to ask, as his detailed knowledge of 19th-century St. Louis ordinances provided the answers that Lippmann and Eberley were looking for.
