Starting with this article, we will spend the next year highlighting a number of news stories, videos, interviews, and other media from the past decade and a half in which the Landmarks team showcased their dedication to preserving the legacy of St. Louis’ built environment. On March 1st, 2013, Kristen Hare from the St. Louis Beacon reported on the continuing demolition of the Pevely Dairy complex at Grand and Chouteau. By that point, only the corner building remained. In her article, Hare included perspectives from involved parties and preservation advocates alike, including observations and criticisms from Landmarks board advisor Randy Vines (co-owner of STL-Style) and former Landmarks executive director Andrew Weil.
