On March 11th, 2015, the STLPR show St. Louis on the Air published a piece regarding how the proposed plan for a new NFL stadium on the northeast side involved demolishing two dozen buildings, including the St. Louis Stamping Co. buildings and the Cotton Belt Freight Depot, both of which are on the National Register of Historic Places. As part of the report, former executive director Andrew Weil was invited to speak with St. Louis on the Air host Don Marsh to provide insight into the impact that destroying said buildings would have on St. Louis’ architectural heritage. You can read the piece and listen to recorded broadcast here.
