On August 12th, 2014, Landmarks Association posted a short trailer briefly highlighting the significance of the State Historic Rehabilitation Tax Credit program and its effect on St. Louis and Missouri’s architectural cultural heritage. The trailer previewed a longer video detailing the subject matter, both of which were narrated by former Landmarks executive director Andrew Weil and was published on the official Landmarks YouTube page. To this day, developers continue to lean on state and federal historic tax credits to justify restoring and rehabilitating important historic landmarks in St. Louis and beyond, and Landmarks has served as an integral player in the process — both with decades of National Register of Historic Places nomination work and surveys, and a strong network of historic consultants.
