“Saint Louis’ historic buildings were one of the main reasons I decided to move to the city in 2009 and I believe they materially shape our culture and civic spirit. I’m thrilled to have the chance to engage with locals and visitors to about the human stories behind the construction, inhabitation and preservation of our many unique and beautiful historic buildings,” said Stuart Keating.

Stuart was selected through a search process helmed by Landmarks Association of St. Louis Board President Jean Larson Webb, and consisting of Board Members Sarah Duffy (Secretary), Karen Goering, Sally Pinckard, David Charles, Dave Boll, and Board Advisor Ilissa Staadeker. The Search Committee conducted a thorough review of candidates to identify a leader who could guide Landmarks’ mission, expand its partnerships, and support its advocacy for historic preservation throughout the St. Louis region.

“As Board President of the Landmarks Association of St. Louis, I am pleased to announce the appointment of [Stuart as] our new Executive Director,” said Jean Larson Webb. “Following a national search, we are proud to welcome an outstanding candidate from right here in our beloved city. Landmarks Association looks forward to Stuart’s leadership as the organization continues its work to document, protect, and promote the architectural heritage of St. Louis.
