Created and designed by Mary Strauss and illustrated by Chris Kilcullen, the cards were created to celebrate our city's architectural heritage during the celebration of St. Louis' 250th anniversary. Each card folds out to create a three-dimensional skyline of iconic St. Louis architecture progressing westward from the riverfront through Forest Park. East Grand (white) & Bissell (red) Water Tower Ornaments:
In 2018, Landmarks Association of St. Louis began an effort to support the restoration of both the Bissell (Red) and the Grand (White) water towers on the city's north side. Engineering assessments were completed but more work is needed to keep these landmarks part of the St. Louis architectural landscape for decades to come. You can help us fund that work with your purchase of our Water Tower Ornament. The proceeds (minus expenses) of ornament sales will be held in trust by Landmarks Association and made available for projects related to the repair/improvement of St. Louis' water towers.
